This was taken in November 2010 at the Woodbridge Ecological Reserve, near Lodi, California. It is located within the delta area east of town. The day we were there was very overcast and dreary. Extremely wet. Had to shoot from the drivers seat of my truck almost all morning. Luckily, we were the only ones out there and I could stop anywhere I wanted (even the middle of the road). These four geese were obviously angry with each other. This went on for a good 5 minutes until they all went their separate ways. The water they were in was full of cut reeds and muddy water. This image catches some the flying debris and water. Hope you enjoy.

My web site has just been updated to now include black & white images from "Jaroso, Colorado". These are just a few of the images from my 2 recent trips into this tiny hamlet in the San Luis Valley. I do plan a few more photographic trips back up there, so look for more images on my web site soon.

Last September, we took a drive back to Jaroso, Colorado for another round of images of Harold Anderson farm. This place is so much fun to shoot. The buildings in varying degrees of decay and wear. The helter skelter placement of the old farm equipment that has been left to die. The rust and the dirt......just my kind of place. Harold and his wife Kathy are always so generous to allow us full access to the area. This image is of the main buildings on the property. These appear to still be in use, but you wouldn't know it from looking at them. I'm anxious to get back up there soon. Maybe later this spring.

The start of our new life has begun. Last week we drove our first load of furniture and assorted over to our self storage unit in Taos. It took two FULL days to finally get into town. Between the packing, loading of the trailer, and then driving 1000 miles this old body was really feeling the wear-n-tear!! The next few days then consisted of unloading everything; rearrange furniture at our Taos home; setup of our new PO Box; together with hanging a few new images at the gallery, and subsequently selling a couple of the larger ones I had just hung the day before to some people from Boston. I did manage to find one day during the week to spend at a friends ranch south of La Veta, Colorado. This image is looking north towards one of the Spanish Peaks from the veranda of the main lodge on the ranch. Spectacular day!! It really made me appreciate all of the hard work from earlier in the week, and knowing this change in our life is going to pay off with days like this. Hope you enjoy the image.

Chama River, Abiquiu, NM, 2011
I know I'm a little late in getting this Photo of the Week out (a whole month in fact), but life has been way to hectic the last few weeks. This shot was from last year over the Chama River after a big rain. The water REALLY was that color. With all of the red dirt upstream, the tomato soup color of the water was about all that could have possibly happened. Hope you enjoy.
