We spent a week in the Grand Teton's & Yellowstone last week. What a spectacular part of the world. Needless to say I have 100's of images to still go through but thought this one stood out.

I am a little slow at getting this past weeks image posted because I was in Jackson Wyoming visiting the Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks. This image was taken looking across Jackson Lake with some remnants of this last winters ice still floating on the water. The sunset color and the reflections across the lake made standing there a breath taking experience.

This weeks image does not have the dramatic effect that last weeks image did, but it does convey the peaceful calm that this area of New Mexico can also offer. This is Steve Miller owner of New Wave Rafters after his day of white water rafting on the same river he is now fishing on in this image. I talked with Steve for a good 15-20 minutes while photographing him from a multitude of different angles. He never once stopped casting but also never was at a loss for words. Really nice guy. I found out he was also a photographer...a man of many talents. I never saw him catch a fish while I was there, but I don't think that was really his main point in being there.

A recent sale at the Hive Salon & Gallery freed up a space for a new image to hang at the gallery. This is an image I took last summer during one of our more spectacular monsoon lightning storms. Sally at the gallery liked this one the best of the group I submitted to her to choose from. If you are in the area stop in at 300 Kit Carson Road to see it framed and ready to take home.
